Mark your calendar for Saturday mornings starting July 7th!

Adopt a Block

Meeting scheduled for July 7th, 9 am, at 2470 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater (Assure Title)

The Adopt a Block program is grassroots organizing at it's best! You will be provided a list of
DEMOCRATS in your own neighborhood or subdivision. With list in hand, you will spend time each week speaking with and getting to know your Democratic neighbors (and boy will they be happy to see you!) Right now we are working on getting our Democrat neighbors to sign up for Vote by Mail. Later, we'll be making sure our neighbors have all the Get Out the Vote info they need to make informed decisions in August and November.

Lots of neighborhoods still available! Adopt a Block on your own or with a friend! Who says activism can't be fun?!

Canvassing

This is an opportunity to canvass voters in neighborhoods in North Pinellas County.

Why is canvassing so important?
"Going door to door is the surest way to win votes."
"Canvassing is particularly effective when aimed at reliable voters (Warm Dems) who otherwise might skip a low-turnout election (mid-terms)."
"Provides an opportunity to converse with multiple voters living at the same address."

Get Out the Vote, Donald Green and Alan Serber

Sign up today! Team up with a buddy! We'll be scheduling canvassing events throughout North Pinellas. You will be provided details as events are scheduled.

Postcards

Why are handwritten postcards so impactful?
The first piece of mail that gets read.
Perceived as more valuable since the recipient rarely gets a handwritten note.
Increases read and response rates.
Stand out in a technology driven environment.
Much more personal.
You can complete the postcards at home on your own schedule, or join us for a fun "Postcard Party" where we discuss current issues and blow off steam!

Let us know you're interested and we'll get you all the info!

Precinct Committee Person

The Precinct Committeeperson is the building block of the Democratic Party. The party is organized from “the ground up”- a grassroots effort.

Responsibilities include:
  • Contacting democrats in your precinct with information about voting, candidates and upcoming elections (“canvassing”).
  • Recruit Block Captains.
  • Connect with groups, clubs, businesses, and charities who share values with the Democratic Party.
  • Help recruit viable candidates to run for office.
  • Attend regular monthly meetings of the County Democratic Party (PC DEC).
Contact us for more information on this very important role.

Voter Registration

Voter Registration campaigns work: Face to face registering increases the number of registered voters. Likewise, registering voters in person increases the likelihood that those new voters will actually VOTE.

We need folks to register voters! No experience necessary- you will be trained. Please note: these are outdoors, clip boarding events (not tabling). Bring plenty of sunscreen and water.

July 7th
Orange Festival, Dunedin
Two hour shifts throughout the day
