Tuesday, February 18th, 2020

For many years, the Greater Tarpon Springs Democratic Club has hosted a candidate forum for candidates running for seats on the Tarpon Springs City Commission.  These forums are open to the public and have been previously called one of the best forums in the Tampa Bay area.

We’d like to invite you to this year’s forum which will be held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 from 7:15 PM - 8:45 PM at the Tarpon Springs Recreation Center Main Hall located at 400 S Walton Ave, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689.

The format will be as follows: Members of the audience will have the opportunity to write down questions on provided note cards for the candidates. The questions may be directed to one or more candidates.  The moderator will ask as many submitted questions as well as his own prepared questions as time allows.  There is no guarantee that every question will be asked.  One minute will be provided to each candidate for opening statements and each candidate will have two minutes to respond to questions posed to them.  A timer keeper will assist the moderator to strictly enforce the time limits.

Candidate Endorsements
Just a reminder that our club supports all Democrats that step up to the challenge of seeking office and that we do not favor one Democrat over another during the primaries even in non-partisan elections. If you are canvassing for a particular candidate, please do not identify yourself as a club member as it  implies support of the organization. All democratic candidates are provided the opportunity to share a brief message at the meeting, but again this does not mean we support of one candidate over another.
