Candidates Forum on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 7:30 PM - 9:15 PM at the Tarpon Springs Recreation Center Main Hall located at 400 S Walton Ave, Tarpon Springs, FL 34688

For many years, the Greater Tarpon Springs Democratic Club has hosted an “Open to the Public” candidates forum for candidates running for the Tarpon Springs City Commission which have been called the best forums in the Tampa Bay area.

This year, we are fortunate to have secured Robin Saenger, former Tarpon Springs City Commissioner and Vice-Mayor to moderate a candidate forum for all of the qualified candidates running.

The format will be as follows: Members of the audience will have the opportunity to write down a question on provided note cards for the candidates. The questions may be directed to one, several, or all of the candidates. The moderator will organize and consolidate the questions while also asking her own prepared questions. The moderator will have the discretion to disregard questions as she deems appropriate. One minute will be provided to each candidate for an opening statement. A timer keeper will assist the moderator to strictly enforce the time limits.

The forum will end promptly at 9:15 PM as we must clear the room by 9:30 PM.

Candidates and their campaigns may distribute flyers and campaign materials. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the number or email listed above.

Media will be notified and several publications are likely to be in attendance. Permission for videography and photography has been granted.
