Holiday Fun with
County Commissioner Charlie Justice and
Honoring Linda Lerner
Our guest speaker this month is County Commissioner,
CHARLIE JUSTICE. Charlie has always been a good friend to
the Club, from emceeing the Annual picnic to helping write a
proposal for a Club grant. He has never failed to help when
asked. I am sure most of you know Charlie’s bio but in case you
are new to the area. Charlie started out as an assistant to Florida
House Representative, Lars Hafner, then was elected to succeed Lars in the House, was then
elected to the Florida Senate, and was finally elected to his current position
as County Commissioner. He has accomplished so much and with Florida becoming more Blue,
there is no telling what the future holds for him.
LINDA LERNER did not run for School Board this year ending
28 years dedicated to working to improve the education of
Pinellas County children. She has been active in helping form the
policies of the system, visiting schools, meeting with parents and
being available for those who needed help.Linda has been known
throughout the county for her work, not only with the School
Board but with other educational groups. Also, Linda was
president of our Club before Harvey. We look forward to
recognizing her achievements on December 13. Be here to
celebrate with us.
This promises to be a very festive program with a complimentary glass of
wine, hors d’oeuvres, Charlie Justice, Linda Lerner and Toys for Tots.
